Meet the Owners
William P. Underriner, president and co-owner of Underriner Motors in Billings, MT, was 2012 chairman of the National Automobile Dealers Association and represents Montana’s franchised new-car dealers on the association’s board of directors. In the automobile business since 1984, Underriner took over the family business in 2001. He currently owns, Honda, Hyundai, Buick and Volvo franchises in Billings. Previously, he served three terms as Treasurer of NADA and on the association’s Executive, Industry Relations, Dealership Operations and Membership committees. He has also served as chairman of the association’s Finance and Convention committees. Underriner has held a variety of offices with the Montana Automobile Dealers Association, including chairman of the board. Active in his community, Underriner has served as past president of the United Way of Yellowstone County and has served on the boards of directors for the following organizations: Yellowstone Art Museum; Zoo Montana; National Council for the Prevention of Child Abuse; American Cancer Society Relay for Life; and Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis Helena branch. Underriner is also an active supporter of the Billings Symphony, Festival of Trees, Boy Scouts of Montana, Billings Chamber of Commerce and the Billings YMCA. Underriner and his wife, Mary, have two grown sons, Blake and Kyle. Blake currently works at Walla Walla Valley Honda, and Kyle is pursuing his MBA at the University of Denver.
Jared Hamilton is a 3rd Generation car dealer, and grew up working at his family’s Dealerships in California, but after graduating NADA’s Dealer Candidate Academy spent most of his dealership management career in Utah. He also studied Accounting, Automotive Marketing and Management at Northwood University and LDS Business College graduated from NADA’s Advanced Education Program at Babson College. Jared is a successful entrepreneur that founded DrivingSales, the worlds largest automotive social network, DrivingSales University, the largest online training portal teaching digital marketing strategies for dealers and DrivingSales Data, the industry’s first truly cross channel, cross franchise analytics tool for digital marketing. Jared teaches advanced Internet Strategies at NADA’s Dealer Candidate Academy, and has trained dealerships on behalf of the dealer Associations in China, Brazil, Italy, Canada, Poland and more. More importantly Jared is a father to 5 beautiful kids and loves playing soccer and t-ball with his family. He and his wife Kristi have been married for 14 years and are known to throw some seriously big BBQ parties with friends and family.
