An exciting new partnership has formed between Honda, Thrillist, and JackThreads in to create an exclusive limited edition HT3 Driving Shoe. The new sneaker is inspired by the 2016 Honda Civic, and it pays tribute to the three core aspects of Honda design: high touch, high tension, and high tech. College Place and Kennewick customers can find out more about the HT3 Driving Shoe in this overview or by visiting Walla Walla Valley Honda. Let’s take a closer look now at this sensational new shoe and the partnership behind it.

About the Partners

The partnership behind the HT3 Driving shoe comes from Honda, Thrillist, and JackThreads.

  • Thrillist: A digital publisher that focuses on lifestyle topics including food, drink, travel, tech, cars, dating, health, and entertainment.
  • JackThreads: A brand of men’s clothing that has continued to grow and become a go-to brand for men who seek simple, quality clothing.
  • Honda: A leading car manufacturer with award-winning vehicles like the 2016 Civic.

The Idea

The original concept for the HT3 Driving Shoe came from the team at Thrillist, and JackThreads helped bring the concept to life. With the help of Honda R&D America’s Jarad Hall, JackThreads developed the driving shoe to reflect the vehicle’s design throughout. Jarad said the shoe was designed for “people who love driving and love the sporty new Honda Civic.”

The HT3 Driving Shoe

The shoe itself has a seamless silhouette that mimics the sleek design on the 2016 Civic. High-quality materials are used throughout the shoe’s design, including silky suede with metallic hints and a quilted leather pattern on the heel counter and insole. To guarantee a relaxed and comfy fit, the HT3 has a neoprene vamp that fits securely over the top of the driver’s foot. JackThreads also developed a suede shroud that fastens into place to cover the laces — when uncovered, it reveals the Civic logo.
