Learning how the K-9 unit works

Walla Walla Valley Honda hosts K-9 demonstration

On Saturday, Apr. 25 Walla Walla Valley Honda hosted the Walla Walla Sheriff’s Foundation to help raise money for their K-9 Patrol Units. We enjoyed learning from one of these patrol units. Office Perez and Deputy “Gudy” gave us a demonstration of how they perform in field. Gudy is a patrol dog who specializes in pursuit. Gudy showed off his skills in chasing down a fake perpetrator and showed off his discipline in following Officer Perez’s commands. You can view more pictures from the event on our Facebook page.

As well as learning how the K-9 unit worked, the Prescott Lions Club prepared delicious hot dogs for everyone that stopped by.

Supporting the Walla Walla Sheriff’s Foundation

We’re very proud to support the Walla Walla Sheriff’s Foundation and their support of the Sheriff’s Office. We’re excited to help support them in their fundraising goal of further training the K-9 units for narcotics detection in the future. Their next event will be a fundraising dinner and auction at Tranche Cellars on Saturday, June 13. You can read more about the event on their Facebook event page.
